About Me

Hi, I'm Vincent. Some people know me as that guy with the interesting business background between tech gigs. These days, I'm a dad of two boys. Their weekend Grab driver (but for free), Lego construction supervisor, and the guy who makes up bedtime stories because I'm too lazy to read the actual books.

While the boys run to their mom for homework help (because let's be honest, she's way more patient and capable than me), they come to me for the fun shit - building ridiculous Lego army base and figuring out why their robot doesn't work.

I'm good at…

  • Making technical stuff less painful
  • Parenting by being the fun parent (sorry dear, someone has to be the disciplinarian)

I love…

  • Productivity hacks that actually work (not the bullshit ones)
  • Technical toys that serve no purpose except being cool (only those that I can afford)
  • Minimalism (except for Lego - that shit is everywhere)
  • Batman (he has lots of cool toys and he's rich…)
  • Masked Rider (don't judge, it's quality entertainment)
  • Cats (they're like minimalist pets - low maintenance, high attitude)

Bottom line: I solve problems, build stuff, and try not to screw up my kids too badly. So far, so good.

My Working Life Story

Vice President, Operations @ Involve Asia

2020 - Present

  • Focus on scaling operations without breaking things (harder than it sounds)
  • Build processes that actually work instead of just looking good on paper
  • Make sure the technical side talks to the business side without anyone losing their minds
  • Optimize systems and workflows because efficiency is surprisingly satisfying
  • Building teams that can actually deliver shit instead of just talking about delivering shit

Drop Me a Line

Look, I'm not actively hunting for new gigs right now - got two boys who think I'm their personal Grab driver and a Lego collection that's slowly taking over the house. But my inbox is always open.

Got a cool project? Want to bounce ideas around? Or just want to share your idea with someone? Drop me a line. I might not know everything (definitely don't), but I'd love to hear what you're working on. Fair warning though - I hate email and sometimes forget to check it for weeks. But when I do reply, it'll be worth the wait.

P.S. - If you're a recruiter trying to sell me on 'amazing opportunities' that require 47 different programming languages and pay in exposure, maybe just... don't. But if you have something genuinely interesting, let's talk.
